In response to its steady growth in the North and Central American markets, Bosch Rexroth has opened a new sales and technical service center in Monterrey, Mexico. The firm, a provider of hydraulics, electric drives and controls, and linear-motion and assembly technology and equipment, now has 11 locations in Mexico. Motoman Expands its South American Presence

Motoman Robotica do Brasil, the South American subsidiary of Motoman located in Brazil, has opened a new, expanded facility in the city of Sao Bernado do Campo. The 21,000-sq.-ft. facility houses 17 employees and several contractors. It’s 30 percent larger than the firm’s previous facility in Brazil, providing additional space for manufacturing, a demonstration laboratory and a training room. In 2006, the firm, which provides turnkey robot-based automation systems, claims to have reached a 45-percent market share in arc-welding robotic applications in Brazil. Learn more at

Sim-Software Provider Opens Southern Sales Office

Engineering Technology Associates (ETA), developer of sheetmetal forming simulation software, has opened a new office in Lawrenceburg, TN, to service the southern region of the United States. The office is led by Randy Purcell, a stamping-industry veteran. Products from ETA, headquartered in Troy, MI, include DynaForm, a software package for simulation of sheetmetal forming, and VPG (Virtual Proving Ground), for development of finite-element models.
