The NCDMM, Latrobe, PA, appointed Oberg Industries, Freeport, PA, as an alliance partner of its strategic defense initiative. “Oberg’s advanced machining, materials selection and manufacturing technologies will bring many value-added cost-saving solutions to our stakeholders,” says Mark Huston, NCDMM executive director. NCDMM selects and coordinates the efforts of alliance partners from all phases of U.S. manufacturing to provide efficient and high-quality methods of producing components for defense organizations and their contractors.
Coe Coil-Processing Line Headed to Ohio Stamper

Midwest Stamping, Maumee, OH, has ordered a SpaceMaster Series 3 coil-processing line from Coe Press Equipment Corp., Sterling Heights, MI. The line, which incorporates unwinding, straightening and feeding, will handle coil weights to 20,000 lb. An AC servo-feed drive/motor and AC inverter uncoiler motor will allow feed to 80 ft./min.
