Fuchs Europe Named Top 10 by DaimlerChrysler

Lubricant specialists Fuchs Europe Schmierstoffe GmBH, Mannheim, Germany, has been ranked among the Top Ten suppliers to DaimlerChrysler facilities in Germany. Fuchs is the only lubricant producer to make the list. The award was presented on July 26, 2002.
In North America, Fuchs Lubricants Co., Harvey, IL, operates eight plants and 24 warehouses.

Oberg Arizona Adds Spot-Plating Equipment

Oberg Arizona, Chandler, AZ, a division of Oberg Industries, has added spot-plating equipment to its reel-to-reel plating operation. The new technology enables Oberg to apply precious-metal plating only where it is functionally required on the metal strip. Nearly any shape can be applied precisely to a critical area as small as 0.040 in., and the technology can result in precious-metal savings to 70 percent as compared to conventional selective-plating methods, claim Oberg officials.
