Red Bud Industries to Retrofit
a Multi-Blanking Line for Hudd Steel

Hudd Steel Corp., a South Plainfield, NJ steel-service center, has ordered a multi-blanking retrofit package for its existing Red Bud blanking line. The upgrade will allow Hudd Steel to multi-blank material to 0.135-in. thick and 60-in. wide. It includes a CNC programmable slitter with an automatic knife-locking system, and a pallet-loading system.

Precision Strip, Inc., Minster OH, a privately held metals-processing company, has been acquired by Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co., Los Angeles, CA, operator of 107 metals-processing and distribution centers in 29 states and in Belgium, France and South Korea. Precision Strip has Ohio facilities in Minster, Kenton, Middletown and Tipp City; Indiana facilities in Anderson and Rockport; and facilities in Bowling Green, KY, and Talladega, AL.
