Paulo Products Facility Earns
NADCAP Heattreat Accreditation

The Kansas City, MO, facility of Paulo Products Co. has been awarded accreditation to the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (NADCAP) for heattreating. It joins American Brazing, Willoughby, OH, as Paulo NADCAP facilities. The Kansas City plant offers conformance to program standards in large continuous-belt equipment as well as atmosphere batch and vacuum equipment.

UCT Grants Metal-Finishing License
to Hale Chrome Service

Universal Chemical Technologies (UCT), Inc., has granted a license to Hale Chrome Service, Toledo, OH, allowing Hale to incorporate UCT UltraCem metal-finishing technology. UltraCem, a fifth-generation electroless nickel-boron coating is used extensively in defense, aerospace, automotive and oil-and-gas industries. Hale will use it in addition to its in-house lines of electroless nickel and proprietary chrome treatments.

Amada Canada to Sell Inspection System

Amada Canada, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, has signed an agreement to sell the new ShapeGrabber (Ottawa, Ontario) AI810 optical inspection system to the Canadian sheetmetal market. The AI810 offers traditional 2D inspections as well as 3D inspection, which compares a measured part directly to a 3D CAD file.
