Mid-State Sales, Columbus, OH, a manufacturer of hydraulic components, has contracted with business-to-business company First Index, Whippany, NJ, to provide e-sourcing, RFQ automation and supplier relationship management.
“Our Defense Products Group wanted a way to communicate faster and more accurately with suppliers,” explained Ed Graves, Mid-State marketing manager. “We found that First Index offered us a way to enter RFQ details once, submit them to all selected suppliers simultaneously, then monitor supplier progress and evaluate bidders more quickly than before.
