Record Robot Sales for First Half of 2013

North American robotics companies have set new sales records through June of 2013, according to the Robotic Industries Association, Ann Arbor, MI. North American robotics companies sold nearly 11,000 robots, valued at $679.3 million, during the first six months of 2013. That’s a 1.9 percent increase in units over the same period in 2012, and surpasses the previous first-half record, set in 2005, by 1.3 percent.

Upbeat Forecast for U.S. Metal-Stamping Industry

Research and Markets has announced the addition of the "Metal Stamping Industry in the US 2012-2016" report to its offering.
The analysts forecast the U.S. metal-stamping industry to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 7.91 percent over the period 2012-2016. One of the key factors contributing to this growth is growing demand from the automotive industry. However, the high cost of raw materials could pose a challenge to the growth of this industry, says the report.
