American Trim Earns Whirlpool Recognition

Whirlpool managers recently presented the firm’s Innovation Award to American Trim, Lima, OH, for “Consumer Focused Innovation.” American Trim received the honor—its second consecutive year doing so—for eight innovation activities in 2004, one of which will be commercialized in 2005. American Trim manufactures decorative metal components, and operates 10 U.S. facilities and one plant in Monterrey, Mexico.
Orchid Stamping Plant Achieves
One-Year Accident-Free Milestone

On May 14, 2005, the Orchid Intl. stamping plant in Gordonsville, TN, achieved one year of operation without a lost-time accident. Its Zero Incidents program focuses attention on each employee’s responsibilities for ensuring their safety as well as the safety of coworkers. The firm celebrated with a cookout for each of its three shifts of workers.
