Powerful Stretcher-Leveler Up and Running in Mississippi

The FerrouSouth toll-processing facility in Iuka, MS, has commissioned what it is calling the most powerful stretcher-leveler in the country. The Butech Bliss machine can produce more than 4 million pounds of stretching force to eradicate internal stress from steel sheet from 1/8 to ½ in. thick by 96 in. long. It’s installed inline with a Herr Voss ½- by 96-in. 11-roll precision leveler. Large-Scale Fabricator Expands Paint Capabilities

D&S Manufacturing, Black River Falls, WI, announced plans to upgrade its offline liquid spray-painting system and to integrate powder-coating capabilities by installing one of the largest coating booths in the Midwest at its production facility. The 200- by 30-ft. booth, which features a unique door that disappears under the floor rather than overhead, will be able to accommodate components weighing as much as 10,000 lb.
