FrameMax, San Diego, CA, a fabricator of steel framing, has been awarded one of the world’s largest light-gauge steel contracts, totaling 4 million sq. ft. and 13,000 tons of material. The project, commissioned by the Algerian Ministry of Defense, includes accommodations and administration buildings, among others, to be completed within an 18-month timeframe. In order to meet the building deadlines and avoid overseas shipping, FrameMax will oversee fabrication being completed in Algeria throughout the project. The firm operates a 150,000-sq.-ft. fabrication facility, with automated rollforming and precision cutting, punching and notching, in Tecate, Mexico;
