Modine Manufacturing Buys 16th Vacuum Furnace

Modine Manufacturing, Joplin, MO, has purchased a vacuum furnace from Vacuum Furnace Systems (VFS) Corp., Souderton, PA, bringing to 16 the number of VFS furnaces in place at Modine. The furnace, a Model HL-50X120 2-bar external quench vacuum furnace, features GraForm curved graphite heating elements and VFS’ CompuVac touchscreen workstation. Fall Conference for Expanded-Metal Manufacturers

New Company will Offer Grinding Machines

Overbeck Grinding Machines Corp. has announced the formation of Basaran Grinder Corp., Hauppauge, NY. Basaran will build and sell high-precision ID, OD, radius, centerless, double-disc and surface grinding machines offering sub-micron accuracies.
