Braner/Loopco Sells Coil-Processing Systems

Servilamina Summit SA de CV, Queretaro, Mexico, has installed a new single-loop coil-slitting line and automatic slit-coil packaging line from Braner USA, Inc., Schiller Park, IL. The slitting line can process coils to 25 tons and 60 in. wide, in steel thicknesses from 0.024 to ¼ in. It includes an entry coil straightener, 10-in. arbor turret head slitter, recoiler and entry and exit shears. Braner/Loopco also recently received an order for a close-tolerance multi-blanking line from Steel Technologies, Inc., headquartered in Louisville, KY. The line will be capable of converting 80,000-lb. 72-in.-wide coated and bare carbon-steel coils, in gauges from 0.028 to 0.135 in., into flat-panel sheets and precision blanks. Red Stag Helping to Sell Five Press Cells
from Tower Automotive/Milwaukee

Red Stag Engineering and Automation, Waupaca, WI, has assisted Banc of America Leasing & Capital LLC by providing proposals for removing five press cells from the Tower Automotive plant in Milwaukee, WI. Tower installed the cells in 2000 to produce hydroformed parts. They include 5000-ton Schuler and 7000-ton SPS presses, automation products from ne Trail, ABB robots and other equipment. Bystronic Opens West-Coast Training Center

Bystronic Inc., Hauppauge, NY, has opened a sales and training facility in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, near Los Angeles. The 10,000-sq.-ft. facility offers training programs and demonstrations on the firm’s laser-cutting, waterjet-cutting and press-brake lines, and its system software. Learn more at
