The Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA) has appointed Julie A. Fream president and chief executive officer; current president and CEO Neil De Koker becomes president emeritus. OESA represents 450 companies that provide the products used to build new vehicles in North America. Fream previously held positions in manufacturing, sales and marketing at General Motors, Ford, TRW and Visteon, and has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Tella Tool Adds Okuma HMC

Neff Press Installs Deep-Draw Filter-Can Line

Baldwin Filters, Kearney, NE, a manufacturer of commercial-truck, off-road and industrial filters, has installed a new deep-draw can-making line from Neff Press, St. Louis, MO. Baldwin senior manufacturing engineer John Macrander and Neff Press chief engineer Jon Schmidt will provide a technical presentation on the line during the FABTECH 2013 education program, at a Deep Draw Technologies track on Thursday, Nov. 21, from 8 to 10 a.m. The case study will include basic information on deep-draw technology, and explain the line’s high-speed servo-hydraulics, quick die change, automated blank handling, in-die sensing and servo transfers.
