Installs High-Speed Blanking Line

Phoenix Metals Company, Tampa, FL, has installed a 72-in.-wide 10-gauge blanking line from Red Bud (IL) Industries. The line includes a 50,000-lb. reel, coil stage and load system, peeler breaker, crop shear, Herr-Voss roller leveler, dual-action grip feed system, adjustable shear and stacker system including a drop rejector, auto-lowering stack table, automatic pallet loader and powered discharge conveyors.
Phoenix Metals is a wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance Steel and Aluminum, Norcross, GA. The new line is Reliance’s tenth; its 11th line is on order.
MetalMecanica Gains U.S. Government Support

MetalMecanica USA, the leading metalforming event held in Mexico, has been awarded the Department of Commerce Trade Fair Certification, a collaboration agreement between private-sector trade-show organizers and the U.S. government to promote the participation of the United States in foreign trade shows. The program gives trade-show organizers access to promotional support and marketing services from the Department of Commerce and the U.S. Embassy.

E-C Enterprise Earns Visteon Contract

E-C Enterprise Inc., a metalforming company in Grand Rapids, MI, has received a project from Visteon for deburring, inspection and packaging. E-C specializes in metal stamping, deburring, parts washing, inspection and packaging, as well as other secondary operations.
