It’s a Plasma-Cutting Road Show

Hypertherm, Hanover, NH, is taking its plasma-arc-cutting technology on the road with two new Mobile Cutting Centers. The mobile cutting centers will feature new power-supply technology as well as the integrated PowermaxEdge mechanized cutting system. The summer tour begins in Southern California at the Golden State Classic Auto Race, July 12-13. Aerospace-Manufacturing Consortium Continues to Grow

The Michigan Aerospace Manufacturers Association (MAMA), Grand Rapids, MI, a consortium of companies intent on attracting more aerospace business to Michigan, has added MNP Corp., Utica, MI, to its ranks. MNP manufactures fasteners, engineered cold-formed parts, stampings, assemblies and powdered-metal components, and offers plating and coating services. MAMA now represents 24 manufacturers, and its leaders expect to grow the consortium to more than 50 companies. Learn more at www.michman.org.

Olympic Steel to Open Satellite Facility in Ohio

Headquartered in Cleveland, OH, steel-service center Olympic Steel, Inc. will open a 62,000-sq.-ft. satellite processing facility in Dover, OH, during the fourth quarter of 2008.
