Miyachi Unitek Expanding in California

Welding- and cutting-system manufacturer Miyachi Unitek Corp. has leased additional office space in Monrovia, CA. It plans to migrate existing office space to the newly acquired buildings, and expand the manufacturing space in its 70,000-sq.-ft. main facility. The firm, which now operates from 85,000 sq. ft. of space, manufactures equipment for resistance and laser welding, laser marking and cutting, and more;

Stamper Earns 5-yr. Supply Agreement with Heat-Exchanger OEM

P&G Steel Products, Buffalo, NY, has signed a 5-yr. contract to supply aluminum and steel stampings and welded assemblies to TitanX Engine Cooling, Jamestown, NY. TitanX supplies heat-exchanger systems to the North American heavy-truck industry. P&G operates stamping presses to 1000 tons, manufacturing progressive, deep-drawn and transfer stampings, as well as fabricated metal parts, CNC machined components and robotically welded assemblies;

Unison Expands production Capacity for its Tube Bending Machines

A new 24,000-sq.-ft. facility in Scarborough, UK, more than doubles the production capacity of Unison to manufacture its all-electric tube-bending machines. And, the facility reduces machine-build time by 15 percent, thanks in part to a $470,000 investment in a new, large CNC machining center, allowing the firm to bring previously subcontracted machining inhouse.  The company also has added software and hardware development engineers and more manufacturing and sales staff.
