Bruderer to Sell German Servo Press in North America

Bruderer, Ridgefield, NJ, is now the exclusive North American distributor of the SynchroPress tryout/production press manufactured by Hieger GmbH. SynchroPress models are powered by synchronous servo motors driving four roller thread spindles. The design offers programmable shut height, stroke, and speed, and center-load monitoring capability. The presses come in 400- to 6300-kN models with bed size from 1300 by 800 to 4000 by 2400 mm. Bruderer introduced the presses to the market at its May 1-5 open house. The firm is online at

Applied Mfg. Technologies Acquires Design House

Applied Manufacturing Technologies, Inc. (AMT), Orion, MI, a supplier of factory-automation design, engineering and process-consulting services, has acquired Tur-Tech, Inc. (TTI), Troy, MI, a design and engineering house. The acquisition expands AMT’s mechanical-design capabilities, particularly in the area of automotive body-shop weld systems and tooling design. The TTI business will operate as part of AMT’s design group in Orion.
