Plant-Floor Software Provider Launches Website

AIM Systems Group, Napoleon, OH, a developer of plant-floor and manufacturing-enterprise software, has launched www.automation-manager.com, offering an overview of the firm’s software and allowing visitors to build their own software suite and take a tour of the available modules. AIM (Automation Integration Manager) allows a manufacturer to know, in real time, equipment status, maintenance requirements and productivity levels of every machine in its plant. Information flows into a seamless reporting system that integrates with a firm’s ERP system. AIM Systems Group is a business unit of Automatic Feed Co., designer and builder of coil-handling and press-feeding automation systems.

New Multi-Blanking Line Headed for Calif.

Pacific Toll Processing, Carson, CA, a toll processor of surface-critical flat-rolled steel coil, has ordered a 60,000-lb. by 72-in.-wide multi-blanking line from Braner/Loopco, Schiller Park, IL. The line will convert exposed automotive-quality and pre-painted coil, from 0.015 to 0.135 in. thick, into precision blanks at up to100 cycles/min., and produce up to 600 blanks/min. Width tolerances are plus or minus 0.002 in., length tolerances plus or minus 0.005 in. Blanks will range from 5 to 72 in. wide and from 10 to 144 in. long.
