Waterjet-Cutting Technology to Become
Part of Boeing-Sponsored Research Facility

The University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) with Boeing, Catcliffe (Rotherham) UK, has partnered with waterjet-cutting equipment manufacturer WardJet, to further develop its expertise in advanced-materials cutting and forming. Richard Ward, owner and president of WardJet, Tallmadge, OH, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the AMRC. Learn more about WardJet at www.wardjet.com. P&G Steel Products Adds
Plastic Injection Molding to its Resume

Family-owned metalforming company P&G Steel Products, Buffalo, NY, has installed four Cincinnati Milacron presses, from 110-1000 tons, to add plastic injection molding to its list of manufacturing capabilities. Its 1000-ton press can handle shot sizes to 165 oz. The firm operates more than 25 metal-stamping presses, robotic-welding cells and CNC machining centers; www.pgsteel.co.

Allied Innovations Acquires IP of Dominion Power Press

The intellectual property of Dominion Power Press Equipment Ltd., Burlington, Ontario, Canada, has been acquired by Allied Innovations Inc., Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Allied has secured Dominion’s job files, make and model numbers, equipment serial numbers, electrical schematics, mechanical clutch and brake conversion drawings, preventive-maintenance schedules, parts lists and mechanical-alteration histories from work performed by Dominion. Machinery sold and serviced by Dominion Power Press included press and machinery guards, mechanical, servo and hydraulic presses, clutches and brakes, conveyors, coil-handling equipment, die-change and die-handling equipment and controls.
