Texas Purchasing Fair Places
Metal-Parts Suppliers Face-to-Face with Buyers
Thursday, June 19, 2008
If your contract stamping, fabricating or machining company seeks new opportunities to meet with buyers and engineers from large manufacturing companies looking to purchase metal components, then the NTMA/PMA Contract Manufacturing Purchasing Fair is the place to be. Plan now to attend the fair on October 10, 2008, at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa, in Austin, TX. Dozens of purchasers will be there awaiting your sales calls—bring sales brochures, facility lists, sample parts and a stack of business cards so that you’ll be able to successfully market your company and its capabilities, and accurately match them to the needs of the purchasers in attendance. As a special bonus, if you register to attend by September 16, 2008, your company’s capabilities will be included in a booklet that will be distributed, prior to the purchasing fair, to all of the registered buyers and engineers. Also, register by August 31 and receive a $100 discount on your registration fee.

Hayes Lemmerz to Sell Georgia Facility to BBS Intl.
Wednesday, June 18, 2008
German automotive-wheel manufacturer BBS International GmbH has acquired all of the outstanding shares of Hayes Lemmerz Belgie B.V.B.A., including its factory based in Hoboken, Belgium. In addition, BBS will, early next year, take over operations at the Hayes Lemmerz wheel-manufacturing facility in Gainesville, GA, to support its non-OEM activities in the Untied States. Hayes Lemmerz had previously announced plans to close the Gainesville plant by the end of 2008. The transaction allows Hayes Lemmerz to reduce costs and focus on other high-growth regions, and it allows BBS to locally, economically and efficiently serve its U.S. customers.
