Chicago-Area Service Center Orders Coil Line

Amtex Steel, Inc., University Park, IL, has ordered a new turret-head coil-slitting line from Braner USA, Schiller Park, IL. The line will process 60,000-lb. by 72-in.-wide hot-rolled pickled, cold-rolled and coated coils in thicknesses from 0.015 to ¼ in. at line speeds to 1000 ft./min. It includes automatic edge guides, a quick-change 150-hp slitter, and a 250-hp two-speed recoiler. Learn more at

Greenerd Partners to Import Chinese Hydraulic Presses

Greenerd Press & Machine Co., Nashua, NH, has developed an alliance with Tianjin Tianduan Press Co., a Chinese supplier of hydraulic presses, to broaden Greenerd’s product capability to presses rated to 10,000 tons and bed sizes exceeding 240 in. Tianduan will design and build presses to ANSI B-11.2 for the North American market, to be installed and serviced by Greenerd. Learn more at
