Atlas Technologies Secures Order
for Transfer-Press Systems

Atlas Technologies, Inc., Fenton, MI, will supply three transfer-press systems to a Tier-One automotive supplier.
The $4-million order provides the systems and related material and die-handling automation for stamping of chassis components for light trucks at a new facility in Texas. Existing large-bed 800-2000-ton presses will be retrofitted with Atlas Flex 50000 tri-axis in-press transfer automation, blank destacker systems and powered die carts. These are configured to allow for future addition of an automatic die-storage/retrieval system.
Strippit/LVD Appoints Midwest Representative

Strippit/LVD, Akron, NY, has named Advanced Machinery, Inc., Plymouth, MN, as marketing representative, responsible for all Strippit/LVD product sales in Minnesota, North and South Dakota, and portions of Wisconsin and Iowa.
Advanced Machinery will represent the entire line of Strippit/LVD equipment including mechanical and hydraulic CNC turret punch presses, laser-cutting systems, hydraulic press brakes, guillotine shears, flexible fabricating systems and CAD/CAM programming software.
Humdinger Gains New Corporate Support

Uni-Guide Products by Humdinger, Philadelphia, PA, announced that Allied Resource Corporation, Wayne, PA, has acquired an ownership stake in Humdinger. Humdinger was formed in 1998 to develop and commercialize a die set employing an internal guidance system rather than the traditional post-and-bushing guidance. Allied Resource holds a portfolio of companies within five business units, including high-performance ceramics and metal-based specialty chemicals.
