Wednesday, June 16, 2004
Commerce Secretary Donald Evans has named James McGregor, president of Morgal Machine Tool and Ohio Stamping, Springfield, OH, as a key member of the Bush Administration’s Manufacturing Council. The Council consists of manufacturing leaders from across the industry. Together they will create a strong voice for pro-manufacturing policies within the United States. “With this Council,” says Evans, “the Bush Administration is giving manufacturers a permanent seat at the table that will facilitate a continued dialogue between government and manufacturers in order to help them create manufacturing jobs and strengthen the sector across America.” Jim McGregor serves on the Precision Metalforming Association’s Government Relations/PMAVIC Committee and is a member of the PMA Educational Foundation Board of Trustees. He is also active locally by serving as the PMA Ohio Valley District Chair. His previous involvement includes participation on PMA's Board of Directors as well as on several committees, including the Training & Education, Finance, and Planning Committees. In 2003, Jim won the Excellence in Leadership Award, PMA’s highest recognition granted to an individual in the metalforming industry.
