Survey Says: Nearly Half of Manufacturing Buyers

When asked if their sourcing needs had changed in the past year, 69 percent of the purchasing managers and engineers from the manufacturing industry polled by MFG.com said that they had maintained or grown their sourcing needs, and nearly half of the buyers said that they were looking for new suppliers. The MFGWatch Survey from MFG.com, a global online marketplace for the manufacturing community, also found that 60 percent of the respondents—from all corners of the industry—have had their volume (both value and quantity of purchases) increase or remain the same, while 40 percent reported a decrease in sourcing volume. And, asked to forecast company sales in 2009, 82 percent expected to maintain or grow their business, while 13 percent expected a decrease. Learn more at

Leifeld to Conduct Hands-On Metal-Spinning Workshop

Seilkop Acquires Armor Metal’s Burn and Grind Shop

Armor Metal Group, Mason, OH, has sold one of its plants to Seilkop Industries, Inc., Cincinnati, OH.
