Rogers Assoc. Machine Tool Opens East Coast Office

Rogers Associates Machine Tool Corp., Rochester, NY, a builder of high- and low-volume machining and assembly systems, fixturing and tooling, has opened an East Coast engineering office in Stroudsburg, PA. The office serves customers in the Syracuse metropolitan area as well as in CT, NJ, VA, PA and NC. The firm was recently acquired by an investment group led by Jeff McFadden, president and CEO.
Metalformers Express Lagging Optimism

The June 1 Business Conditions Report from the Precision Metalforming Association indicates that metalforming-company executives foresee a modest decline in average daily shipping levels and take a cautious view of the outlook for overall economic activity over the summer months. While in May, 66 percent projected an increase in shipments, now only 53 percent project such an increase in June. Another 30 percent expect no change in shipments in June, and 17 percent project that June shipments will slide, up from 8 percent who expected declines in the May report.
Jacobson Mfg. Earns ISO/TS Registration

Jacobson Mfg., LLC, Medina, OH, is now ISO/TS16949:2002 certified. The firm makes internal and external fasteners and special cold-formed products, and is a licensed manufacturer of Torx products with a variety of secondary production and processing capabilities. Jacobson Mfg. was formed in February 2004 from the purchase of Huck-Medina from Alcoa’s Automotive Fastener Unit.
