Toledo Metal Spinning
Recognized for its Business Ethics

The Better Business Bureau of Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan has awarded its first Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics to Toledo Metal Spinning, Toledo, OH. The award is to recognize companies committed to exceptionally high standards of fair dealings in their relationship with the public. A panel of community leaders judged entries for the award, which describe company policies and practices. Customers and employees nominated more than 70 local businesses for the awards, which eventually went to three companies—Toledo Metal Spinning won in the medium-sized business category. Aerodyne Ulbrich Alloys
Gains Aerospace Quality Certification

The aerospace industry has its own additional requirements to ISO 9001:2000, covered in the newly revised (in August 2001) AS9100:2001 Aerospace Quality Management System. Materials supplier Aerodyne Ulbrich Alloys, South Windsor, CT, has been certified to the standard, after completing its audit in October 2001. The firm supplies stainless-steel, nickel-alloy and titanium shapes to the aircraft and aerospace industries.
