C&A Tool Engineering, Inc., Churubusco, IN, has acquired the former Dana engine-parts facility in Churubusco, to accommodate future company growth. The company, which operates a 200,000-sq.-ft. headquarters and production machining facility as well as a newly acquired 105,000-sq.-ft. facility in nearby Auburn, IN, employs 530, and manufactures molds and dies, specialty tooling and tightly toleranced precision machined parts from prototype runs to production runs. Worthington Industries Acquires
Mississippi Metalforming Company

Columbus, OH-based Worthington Industries Inc., a diversified company with 60 manufacturing facilities in 10 countries, acquired Piper Metal Forming Corp., New Albany, MS, a producer of aluminum high-pressure cylinders and impact extruded steel and aluminum parts. The acquisition includes Piper’s related companies—U.S. Respiratory, which assembles and distributes medical cylinder products; and Pacific Cylinders, which provides West Coast distribution from Diamond Springs, CA. Worthington Industries ( produces metal framing, pressure cylinders, automotive stampings, metal-ceiling grid systems and laser-welded blanks.
