Flow Intl. Corp. to Establish
Waterjet-Systems Manufacturing and Technology Center

Jeffersonville, IN, will soon host the Advanced Waterjet Systems Center of Flow Intl. Corp., Kent, WA. The center will be an expansion of the firm’s existing facility in Jeffersonville, and will include engineering, production and an interactive customer-demonstration center. As a result, Flow will close its manufacturing facility in Burlington, Ontario, Canada, and move production of robotic waterjet cells and slitter systems from that plant to Jeffersonville. Hydraulic Bending/Dishing Press Headed for India

German press builder Siempelkamp has received an order for an 80-MN bending and dishing press to produce dished ends and heads for pressure vessels used in power plants. The press will form plate to 8 in. thick in lengths to 38 ft. With a daylight of 20 ft., the press will be able to manufacture components as large as 7.5-ft. dia. In addition to the press, Siempelkamp will supply forming and dishing dies and two automatic manipulators for positioning components inside the press. Learn more at www.siempelkamp.com.
