OSHA to Hold Stakeholder Meetings
on Modernizing Data Collection
Thursday, May 06, 2010
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) will hold two meetings to gather information from stakeholders to help modify its injury and illness recordkeeping regulation and develop a modernized recordkeeping system.
“The informal stakeholder meetings and written comments from stakeholders will help give OSHA direction to develop innovative ideas that will allow employers, workers and researchers to participate in improving occupational safety and health through the use of occupational injury and illness data,” says Assistant Secretary of Labor for OSHA Dr. David Michaels.
Meeting dates: May 25, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. EDT, Washington, D.C.; and June 3, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CDT, Chicago, IL.
