Strothmann Expands Operations

Pressroom-automation equipment provider Strothmann has expanded its planning and manufacturing capacities at its German headquarters, adding 1500-sq.-m of floor space. And, according to company CEO Derek Clark, the company expects to build an additional office building to house its construction and project-management functions. Synergy Amongst Fastener Manufacturers

PSM International, Newberry, SC, a manufacturer of specially engineered fasteners including brass inserts for injection-molded plastics as well as self-clinching and riveting fasteners, has acquired UK-based BAS Components. BAS, with a U.S. technical center in Youngstown, OH, manufactures proprietary Flangeform fasteners as well as weld nuts and other cold-formed components, and automatic feeding systems for integration into press lines and robotic cells.
