MI Tool Company Allies with Chinese Trio

Synergis Technologies Group, Grand Rapids, MI, has formed a strategic alliance with three of China’s leading tool and die manufacturers in order to deliver high-quality low-cost tooling to its North American automotive customers. The four companies have formed a management company called Synergis China Automotive Die Group, Ltd., each with a 25-percent stake and with Synergis serving as the entry/exit point for customers. Die design, engineering changes, quality integration and final die buyoff will occur in the United States, and Synergis will assume production/product risk and travel requirements. New Robotics Tech Center Slated for Omaha

Kuka Robotics Corp., Clinton Township, MI, announced plans to open a new technical facility in Omaha, NE, at the site of the Scott Technology Transfer & Incubator Center. Scheduled to open this fall, the Kuka facility will serve as a new showroom testing and validation center for robotic concepts.
