TriMas to Consolidate Fastening Operations

The diversified TriMas Corp., Bloomfield, MI, will consolidate its Lake Erie Products manufacturing operations in Lakewood, OH, into its facilities in Frankford, IN, Wood Dale, IL, and Livonia, MI. The operations make up the firm’s Fastening Systems Group; the consolidation aims to eliminate redundancies and leverage manufacturing assets.
In separate news, TriMas recently acquired the Metaldyne Hi-Vol fastening business, manufacturers of specialized fittings and cold-headed parts including tube nuts, extruded components and locking-nut systems. Learn more at
