Red Bud to Supply Cut-to-Length Line
for Flat-Rolled Service Center

Thursday, May 19, 2005

Heidtman Steel Products Inc., a flat-rolled service center based in Toledo, OH, has purchased a 3/8-in. cut-to-length line from Red Bud Industries, Red Bud, IL. The new line will be installed at Heidtman’s newly expanded facility in Butler, IN. The line will feature Red Bud’s heavy-gauge backed-up straightener, which opens up like a book at the push of a button. That allows full access to all work rolls and backups. Also incorporated is a heavy-gauge stretcher leveler that elongates material lengthwise to exceed the yield point in all material fibers—top to bottom and edge to edge, according to Red Bud officials. The result reportedly is the most stable product that can be produced by a mechanical process. For more, visit www.redbudindustries.com.
