Stewart EFI Adds 200-Ton Press

A 200-ton Minster press outfitted with a transfer mechanism has landed on the shop floor of Stewart EFI, LLC, Thomaston, CT. “The press will us to produce deep-drawn parts to 5.875 in. deep and blank diameters as large as 8 in. from strip to 1/8 in. thick,” says John Labas, vice president of sales and marketing. System Integrators First to Earn RIA Certification

The Robotic Industries Association (RIA), Ann Arbor, MI, has announced its first group of Certified Robot Integrators, since launching the program in January 2012. Receiving the designation: JR Automation, Holland, MI; Motion Controls Robotics, Fremont, OH; Tennessee Rand, Chattanooga, TN; and Wolf Robotics, Ft. Collins, CO.
