Automatic Feed Co., Inc., Napoleon, OH, has been named a General Motors Supplier of the Year for its outstanding performance in 2004. GM began the award program in 1992 to draw attention to supplier performance in quality, service, technology and price. For 2004, it handed out awards to 78 suppliers.

ASTM Introduces Online Database for Steel

The new Passport to Steel database of more than 20,000 alloys and standards, provided by standards-development organizations around the world, is now available from ASTM International, W. Conshohocken, PA. Subscriptions are available online at
www.astm.org. Users can search by standards or from a list of fields, including steel name, grade, class, symbol or type; product or alloy form; and chemical composition. Results can be sorted and copied into other computer programs, such as Excel. Also included: a Reference Center housing standards, related magazine articles and book chapters, hardness conversion tables and more.

Takata Seat Belts Inc., San Antonio, TX, has recently presented Duggan Mfg., Shelby Township, MI, with its Outstanding Performance award recognizing its efforts on behalf of the Takata Seat Weight Sensor program. Duggan is a prototype and low-volume manufacturer of metal stampings with press capacity to 1200 tons, and offers design, engineering, CNC laser cutting, robotic welding, CNC machining and injection molding services.
