All-State Diversified Products Expands

All-State Diversified Products, Inc., Syracuse, NY, has expanded its corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility. The expansion houses several additional OBI presses and three straight-side press lines with capacities from 400 to 800 tons. The straight-sides have feed lines capable of accommodating material in widths to 72 in. Also part of the mix are robotic transfer mechanisms, and three CNC machining centers were added to boost current machining capabilities. The company plans to install its third robotic welding cell later this year and plans another plant expansion in 2004.

Michigan Steel Spring Co., Detroit, MI, has achieved ISO 9001:2000 registration. The company designs and manufactures prototype and short-run quantities of springs, clips, wire forms and stampings.
Orchid Automation Forms Press Division

Orchid Automation, Brentwood, TN, has formed a press division, Orchid Presses, with the combined entities to be known as Orchid Presses & Automation. The division will provide gap-frame and straight-side presses from Seyi and Kia. Through the alliance with these press builders, Orchid will supply stand-alone presses, press-automation products. complete automated press systems and fully integrated pressrooms.
Seyi, based in Taiwan, manufactures gap-frame and straight-side presses in capacities to 1100 tons. Kia, a South Korean company, provides presses in capacities to 3000 tons. Orchid manufactures systems for quick die change; automated die storage and retrieval; blank loading and destacking; and servo in-press part-transfer systems. For more, visit www.orchidautomation.com
