Orchid Automation Forms Press Division

Orchid Automation, Brentwood, TN, has formed a press division, Orchid Presses, with the combined entities to be known as Orchid Presses & Automation. The division will provide gap-frame and straight-side presses from Seyi and Kia. Through the alliance with these press builders, Orchid will supply stand-alone presses, press-automation products. complete automated press systems and fully integrated pressrooms. Seyi, based in Taiwan, manufactures gap-frame and straight-side presses in capacities to 1100 tons. Kia, a South Korean company, provides presses in capacities to 3000 tons. Orchid manufactures systems for quick die change; automated die storage and retrieval; blank loading and destacking; and servo in-press part-transfer systems. Stewart Stamping Purchased
by Current and Former Management

Stewart Stamping Corp. and Eyelets For Industry, Inc. (Stewart EFI), Yonkers, NY, has been acquired from Insilco Technologies, Inc. New owners are an investor group named Stewart EFI, LLC, comprised of current and former management of Stewart EFI, including: Dan Stokes, chairman and CEO; Bernie Roselli, president; Phil Rejeski, v.p. of operations and general manager; and John Labas, v.p. of sales and marketing. Stewart EFI employs more than 300 with operations in Yonkers, Thomaston, CT and El Paso, TX.
