Prima Named Best Performing Italian Company

Laser-machinery manufacturer Prima Industrie S.p.A., with U.S. headquarters in Chicopee, MA, earned best performing Italian public company status in an independent study performed by global management consulting firm A.T. Kearney. Prima placed second of all large companies in the industrial machinery sector, reported Italian media sources La Stampa and Il Mondo. Oberg Costa Rica Earns ISO Registration,
Announces Expansion Plans

By the end of April 2010, Oberg Industries Co. will add more than 6000 sq. ft. to its manufacturing plant in Costa Rica, enlarging the facility to 21,000 sq. ft., partly as a result of its growth in the medical-device market. The facility also just achieved ISO 9001:2008 registration, a first step toward meeting its 2010 growth objectives, according to Oberg president and CEO Robert Wagner. Oberg, headquartered near Pittsburgh, PA, is working toward ISO 13485:2003 certification by year end; www.oberg.com.
