Seminar: Illinois Reshoring Initiative

As part of the Design-2-Parts tradeshow slated for May 3-4 at the Schaumburg (IL) Convention Center, the Illinois Reshoring Initiative will deliver a seminar titled, Returning Manufacturing to America. The seminar, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm on Thursday, May 4, will address the true costs of offshoring manufacturing work. Fabricator’s New Production Cell
to Feature HMC and Two Robotic Welders

D&S Manufacturing, Black River Falls, WI, announced plans to invest in a new production cell centered around a Toyoda FA800 horizontal machining center (31.5 by 31.5-in. pallet size, 40-hp spindle motor), flanked by a pair of six-axis ABB robotic welders. D&S manufactures large-scale components and assemblies for a customer list that includes Caterpillar, Oshkosh Corp. and The Trane Co.
