eBay Enhancements Target
Capital-Equipment Trade
Thursday, April 28, 2005
The online marketplace eBay,
www.ebay.com, has introduced enhancements to its Business & Industrial categories with the goal of making them easier to use and more cost-effective for equipment dealers and buyers. Improvements include simplified pricing, seller assistance and Best Offer online negotiation tools. Along with a new pricing structure, the categories keep search results for capital equipment separate from parts and accessories. Also, a new Seller OnRamp gives sellers one-on-one instruction for posting their items on eBay. Another new feature, the Best Offer pricing option allows sellers to offer equipment with buyers submitting flat-fee offers, which the seller can accept or reject.
