Fastener Show Hits Baltimore in May

The 25th Annual National Industrial Fastener Show/East will be held May 4-5 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, MD. The expo will feature fastener-production products and services from more than 210 companies in more than 22,500 sq. ft. of exhibit space. Included is Fastener Specifications & Technology, a seminar slated for Wednesday, May 4, followed by a free welcoming reception open to all registered show attendees. Servo Tandem-Roll Feed

Press Room Equipment Co., Springfield, MO, recently shipped an electronic servo-driven tandem-roll-feed system to a manufacturer of storage rack systems. The system features two electronic servo-driven roll feeds mounted on the entrance and exit side of the customer’s press. The feeds have special profiled rolls designed to feed 40-ft.-long channel material through a punching and shear station in the press. The punching and shear stations are controlled electronically through the controls on the roll-feed system. Coe Installs Coil Line at Lear Plant

The Lear Corp. plant in Roscommon, MI, has installed a new coil line from Coe Press Equipment Corp., Sterling Heights, MI, on a Verson 500-ton press, to upgrade its progressive-die operations. The new line, a SpaceMaster Series Compact Coil Line—Model CCL-S3-20032, combines unwinding, straightening and feeding into one compact machine. The system mounts on a common machine base, and provides true pilot-release functionality. It can process HSLA steel with yield strength to 75,000 PSI in strip to 0.125-in. thick by 28 in. wide. Maximum material width is rated to 32 in.; max. coil weight, 20,000 lb. Learn more at www.cpec.com.
