The business-to-business marketplace MachineTools.com has opened offices in Yancheng, China, Chennai, India and Monterrey, Mexico, to help clients buy and sell equipment on a global scale. The company will look to further develop its existing international relationships, identify regional trends and create new business opportunities.
MachineTools.com has 100,000 registered users and more than 35,000 machine listings from more than 1000 sellers.

Chrysler Awards Huge Material-Handling Contract

Jervis B. Webb Co., Farmington Hills, MI, has been awarded a contract by Chrysler to install a new material-handling system and renovate existing systems at the firm’s assembly plant in St. Louis, MO. The project, to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2007, includes installation of six miles of new conveyors and delivery of 50 Webb SmartCart automatic guided carts.
