Alliance Leads to Single Source
for Resistance- and Stud-Welding for Metalformers

The Taylor-Winfield Corp., Brookfield, OH, and German manufacturer HBS Studwelding Inc. have allied to supply metalworking companies with equipment for resistance welding, drawn-arc and capacitor-discharge stud welding, as well as weld studs and automation equipment. Together, the firms provide application engineering and prototyping, training, machine rebuilding, portable welding equipment, automatic bowl feeders for stud,s and resistance-welding electrodes and peripherals.
Strippit/LVD Takes on New Brake Line

Strippit/LVD, Akron, NY, in an agreement with Priority Machine Tools LLC, Rocky Hill, CT, will begin manufacturing and distributing the Premier line of press brakes, from 25-ton by 4-ft. to 120-ton by 12-ft. models. The press brakes will be sold under the Strippit brand name through the firm’s direct-sales engineers and marketing representatives. They will also be offered under the Premier brand name through the newly formed marketing-representative firm of Priority Machine Tools LLC.
Steel Warehouse Orders CTL, Slitter Lines

Steel Warehouse of Wisconsin, Inc., Milwaukee, WI, a flat-rolled carbon-steel distributor and coil processor, has ordered a cut-to-length (CTL) line and a slitter line from Braner USA, Schiller Park, IL. The CTL line can process coils to 72 in. wide and 0.25 in. thick as can the slitter line. Both lines are slated for a mid-2003 install.
