Orbitform, Jackson, MI, a manufacturer of orbital-forming and impact-riveting equipment, has purchased Milford Fastening Systems/Milford Rivet, Milford, CT, a maker of impact-riveting machines. The acquisition allows Orbitform to offer a larger selection of custom and standard riveting machines, including Milford-made pneumatic, benchtop, pedestal and fixed-center riveters as well as contact setters and assembly systems.

Greenerd Delivers Large-Bed Press to Rheem

Greenerd Press & Machine Co., Inc., Nashua, NH, has supplied a large-bed hydraulic press to Rheem Manufacturing Air Conditioning Division, Fort Smith, AR. The new machine, replacing a mechanical press, will form, blank and punch a variety of air-conditioner parts for Rheem.
The 150-ton press features a 144 by 48-in. bed offering daylight of 24 in. and an 18-in. stroke. It enables an operator to center-load dies, and its 6-in. color touchscreen control stores all press parameters for as many as 150 jobs.
