Greenkote PLC, which offers metal-coating services from its plants in Israel and Germany, has acquired the assets of Industrial Powder Coatings, Inc. (IPC). The new North American entity, headquartered in Shelbyville, KY, becomes Greenkote-IPC Inc., with five plants in the southern and Midwestern United States and Mexico. It provides powder coating, e-coating, zinc and nickel chrome plating and nylon and plastisol (dip coating) services. Learn more at

New Truck Plant Slated for Alabama

Japanese truck maker Isuzu Motors Ltd. has acquired a 300,000-sq.-ft. warehouse near Birmingham, AL, with plans to convert the property into a truck-making factory by 2009 or 2010, with initial capacity of 5000 mid-size trucks per year. Isuzu joins several other foreign auto suppliers—Hyundai, Toyota, Honda and Mercedes-Benz--that have been lured to Alabama by its low taxes, a union-free environment and other incentives.
