Heattreater Adds Space, Capabilities in Michigan

Advanced Heat Treat (AHT) Corp. has doubled the floorspace at its Monroe, MI, facility to accommodate additional equipment that meets growing demand for state-of-the-art ion and gas nitriding as well as ferritic nitrocarburizing services. A new system for gaseous ferritic nitrocarburizing and nitriding is now running, equipped with advanced controls that allow for precise atmosphere adjustment. The system is ideal for treating large quantities of stamped sheet-steel products. Other new equipment includes a large bake stress-relief furnace, sandblasting system and automatic parts washer. Ownership, Technology Changes at Trueline

Trueline, Inc., La Crosse, WI, designer and manufacturer of Class A progressive dies and automated special machines as well as a contract stamper, is now under the sole ownership of Terry Trueblood, president, after he purchased the outstanding company stock shares from his brother Tim Trueblood. Tim has left Trueline. Terry Trueblood, in announcing the ownership change, also outlined plans to expand corporate administrative offices as well as project management, quality control and inspection departments. Beyond that, he announced the company’s increased use of in-die sensing and in-die measurement. That allows for automatic adjustment of forms in the die to maintain dimensional features and permits 100-percent inspection of critical features.
