Toyoda FA800 horizontal machining center (31.5 by 31.5-in. pallet size, 40-hp spindle motor), flanked by a pair of six-axis ABB robotic welders. D&S manufactures large-scale components and assemblies for a customer list that includes Caterpillar, Oshkosh Corp. and The Trane Co. PhotoFabrication Engineering, Inc. (PEI), Milford, MA, a manufacturer of custom and standard photoetched metal parts, has launched a new website complete with process diagrams and technical etching guidelines. Also, the firm says that the site—
www.photofabrication.com—includes an industry first: an interactive template that allows users to design their own seam-sealed microelectronic package lids online. PEI etches most metal alloys, including stainless steels, copper, brass, silver, titanium and specialty alloys.
