Muller Weingarten to Build Presses in the United States

German press builder Muller Weingarten, which operates in North America in Madison Heights, MI, announced that its straightside, unitized-frame and gap-frame presses now will be manufactured in the United States for the NAFTA market. And, through its recent acquisition of Bliss Clearing Niagara Inc., Muller Weingarten announced its establishment of BCN Technical Services, Hastings, MI, offering press maintenance and repair services.
Schuler AG to Take Over Müller Weingarten

Announced at METALFORM yesterday: Schuler AG will shortly take over Müller Weingarten AG and merge the two firms. Schuler acquired 64.49 percent of the share capital of Müller Weingarten AG from Metzler Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH in Frankfurt. The acquisition is expected to complete by the end of the year. The new company will operate under the name Schuler Weingarten AG and will be headquartered in Göppingen.
