ATR-Strothmann Partners with Nachi
as Robotic Integrator

ATR-Strothmann, Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, has been selected by Nachi Robotic Systems, Novi, MI, as an integration partner. Under this agreement, the company is licensed to integrate robots for Nachi customers in North America. ATR-Strothmann, a supplier of vision and automation systems, will focus on Nachi applications such as stamping, machine tools and material handling. By adding the Nachi multi-axis-robot product line to its existing linear-robot line, ATR-Strothmann will able to meet an array of application needs including the possibility of hybrid robotics, according to Steve Wood, ATR-Strothmann vice president for sales.

United Aluminum Expands its Website

The site gives visitors access to an in-depth aluminum technical manual, a glossary of terms, a material-requirements calculator and other features. It also hosts an online request-for-quote form, contact form and opinion survey.


Secretary Evans to Give Keynote Speech
at PMA-Supported Manufacturing Summit

U.S. Secretary of Commerce Donald L. Evans will be the keynote speaker at the Manufacturing Tomorrow Summit, slated for April 5 at the Minneapolis Hilton Hotel. The summit is presented in part by the Minnesota district of the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) and by the Minnesota Precision Manufacturing Association (MPMA). Other confirmed speakers include Leo Reddy, founder and CEO of the National Coalition for Advanced Manufacturing; Jeremy Leonard, economic consultant with the Manufacturers Alliance; Pat Cleary, senior vice president, public and external affairs, National Association of Manufacturers; and U.S. Senator Norm Coleman (R-MN).
