Webinars Feature Award-Winning Pioneer Metalformers

Plan now to attend a pair of webinars providing presentations from the first six metalforming companies earning recognition from PMA and the Hitachi Foundations as Metalforming Pioneers. Each award-winning company has been recognized for achieving successful business results through well-defined values, culture, policies, practices and investments, with exemplary workforce development practices resulting in skill/career advancement, efficiencies for the company and recognition in the community.

During each 1-hr. webinar, three Metalforming Pioneer award-winning companies will describe key features of their programs. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in dialogue with these companies, so that they may apply some of these proven, successful concepts within their own facilities.

Fabricator Adds Press Brake with Adjustable Bottom Die

A new CNC press brake has landed on the production floor of metal fabricator D&S Manufacturing, Black River Falls, WI, expecting to significantly reduce downtime between job changeovers. The brake, a Model 548514 Accell Series from Accurpress, Rapid City, SD, features an adjustable bottom V-die that opens from 1.5 to 8 in.—no need to change out the lower die from part to part using a forklift. Machine-Safety Seminars Address Risk Assessment, Lockout/Tagout
